El senador Antonio Garc\u00eda Conejo propuso reformar la Ley General de Turismo y el C\u00f3digo de Comercio, para regular las plataformas digitales que ofrecen servicios de hospedaje -como Airbnb- a fin de aclarar su forma de operar.<\/p>\n

Precis\u00f3 que la iniciativa, que se turn\u00f3 a las comisiones de Turismo y Estudios Legislativos, plantea integrar en la ley el concepto \u201calquiler de habitaciones por d\u00edas en viviendas utilizadas como domicilio habitual, a cambio de una prestaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica por estancias menores a seis meses\u201d, como una actividad comercial.<\/p>\n

De esa manera, los usuarios, prestadores e intermediarios tendr\u00e1n un marco jur\u00eddico claro para resolver sus controversias. Por su parte, las autoridades contar\u00edan con una base de datos actualizada, a la par del crecimiento de esas plataformas, facilitando la recaudaci\u00f3n y regulaci\u00f3n por su uso.<\/p>\n

El legislador del Partido de la Revoluci\u00f3n Democr\u00e1tica (PRD) detall\u00f3 que actualmente no existe norma que regule las plataformas digitales que ofrecen servicios de vivienda.<\/p>\n
