Agora, a companhia emitiu uma notifica\u00e7\u00e3o formal aos \u00f3rg\u00e3os reguladores de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de dados da Alemanha e B\u00e9lgica sobre a falha.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com informa\u00e7\u00f5es divulgadas pela <em>Bloomberg<\/em>, a Mastercard alertou para uma viola\u00e7\u00e3o de dados detectada no dia 19 de agosto. Segundo o \u00f3rg\u00e3o regulador alem\u00e3o, a companhia j\u00e1 estava investigando o problema e tomando medidas corretivas, incluindo a remo\u00e7\u00e3o de quaisquer informa\u00e7\u00f5es pessoais que tivessem sido vazadas.<\/p>\n<p>As regras de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de dados da Uni\u00e3o Europeia obrigam as empresas a notificar os reguladores sobre poss\u00edveis viola\u00e7\u00f5es de dados dentro de 72 horas, bem como informar os clientes afetados se a falha representar riscos para eles. As normas da UE, em vigor desde maio de 2018, conferem aos reguladores novos poderes para multar as empresas em at\u00e9 4% das vendas anuais em casos de viola\u00e7\u00f5es mais graves.<\/p>\n<p>Em comunicado, a Mastercard informou que o incidente n\u00e3o tem conex\u00e3o com a sua rede de pagamentos. &#8220;Houve um evento envolvendo a plataforma de fidelidade Specials na Alemanha gerenciada por um fornecedor terceirizado, que resultou na distribui\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o autorizada de certas informa\u00e7\u00f5es&#8221;, declarou a companhia. O Priceless Specials \u00e9 um programa de fidelidade que permite aos clientes Mastercard acessar b\u00f4nus e descontos para outros servi\u00e7os.
