Durante a \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, a Brisa, a que gere mais quil\u00f3metros da rede em Portugal, cortou quase metade dos efetivos. Este ano, a Ascendi pretende dispensar cerca de 220, num processo que est\u00e1 a ser contestado pelos trabalhadores e que, garante o Governo, est\u00e1 a ser acompanhado pela Autoridade para as Condi\u00e7\u00f5es do Trabalho (ACT).Segundo a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa das Sociedades Concession\u00e1rias de Autoestradas ou Pontes com Portagens (APCAP), entre as 24 associadas, apenas sete ainda disp\u00f5em de um sistema de cobran\u00e7a com recurso a portageiro.
