I happen to think Labor Day is one of America’s finest holidays. After all, what other day of the year do you get to celebrate work without actually having to do any? Aside from the glorious long weekend that Labor Day provides, it also happens to be a fantastic shopping holiday, as it coincides with summer ending and students returning back to school. Retailers tend to slash their prices this time of year, meaning you can get some killer savings and can’t-miss deals on a wide variety of fashion, home, and tech items, not to mention the fantastic Labor Day discounts on mattresses that occur this time each year.

If you want to ring in your long weekend by sprucing up your home with a new kitchen appliance or mattress, or if you’re in the mood to give your wardrobe a style refresh for fall, you’re sure to find a sale that strikes your fancy this Labor Day. Below you’ll find our list of the absolute best deals you can already get, ahead of the holiday this upcoming Monday.

Mattress deals

Casper: This is a big deal for sleep aficionados. Casper is offering 10% off any of their mattresses with the code “LABORDAY.”

Layla Sleep: From now until September 12, take $125 off mattresses, plus grab foundations for $50 off, weighted blankets for $10 off, and select toppers and sheets for $25 off.

Mattress Firm: You can get up to $600 off select mattresses online and in-stores at Mattres. During this sale, you can get select King mattresses for the price of a Queen, and get select Queen mattresses for the price of a Twin. You can also get a free adjustable base with qualifying purchases.

Nectar Sleep: Nectar makes the best mattress in a box we’ve ever tested and they started their Labor Day sale early and are offering $100 off and two free pillows with the purchase of one of their mattresses through September 9.

Purple Mattress: This is the best luxury mattress we’ve ever tested, and you can also get free sheets and two pillows (up to a $327 value) with a purchase of any mattress.

Serta: If you buy a Serta iComfort or iComfort Hybrid mattress, you can get up to $500 in savings and receive a free upgrade to a Serta Motion Slim adjustable foundation of the same size. You can save up to $400 on a qualified Serta adjustable foundation.

Appliance deals

Appliances Connection: You can find major savings on virtually all large appliances during their Labor Day sale including Bosch, LG, Viking, and more.

Best Buy: You can snag up to 40% off on appliances during their pre-Labor Day sale, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, and more. You can also get up to a $300 Best Buy e-card with the purchase of select Whirlpool and KitchenAid appliances.

Dyson: If you shop Dyson directly right now, you can get up to $150 off a ton of popular vacuums and gadgets including the V11 Torque, our favorite cordless vacuum, and the V8 Absolute.

Home Depot: You can get up to 40% off with appliance special buys as part of the retailer’s Labor Day Savings event. You can also get up to 40% off select kitchen and bathroom essentials.

Lowe’s: You can get up to 20% off select grills, up to 40% off select appliances, and up to 60% off Dyson technology until September 4.

Home and outdoor deals

Bed, Bath & Beyond: Right now, you can shop savings with up to 60% off select summer clearance items, plus 50% off select patio furniture and 40% off elite cutlery, and more, which is pretty incredible.

CB2: You can get up to 20% off select bedding and bath and also get 20% off select credenzas and consoles. It’s a great chance to upgrade your home with some modern flare.

Crate and Barrel: You can get up to 20% off upholstered furniture, including chairs, sofas, sectionals, and more at the popular furniture retailer.

Houzz: You jumpstart on savings and get up to 80% off select bedroom, living room, and outdoor furniture essentials during their pre-Labor Day sale.

Joss & Main: Get up to 80% off rugs, decor furniture, and more with the Labor Day Blowout.

REI: Save up to 40% on select outdoorsy (and indoorsy) items, including popular brands like HydroFlask, Patagonia, Eno, and so much more. 

Sur la Table: Right now you can get up to 60% off top cookware brands like Le Creuset, Staub, and All-Clad with their Savor Summer Sale.

Target: You can get up to 25% off on furniture, lighting, blankets, curtains, decor, and rugs. This is perfect whether you want to spruce up your decor for fall or you’re sending your kids off to their dorms or college apartments.

Walmart: Find discounts and rollbacks on popular products, including grills, robot vacuums, patio furniture, car accessories, TVs, and more.

Wayfair: The furniture retailer kickstarted their Labor Day Sales event with up to 75% off select living room, bedroom, and outdoor furniture clearance items. You can get up to 65% off outdoor clearance and save with their Home Renovation sale.

Fashion deals

ASOS: You can get 20% off all purchases with the code “LABORDAY20.” They’re also hooking it up with up to 40% off “casual” looks, including sneakers, sweaters, and more. 

DSW: Right now through August 27 at DSW, you can $10 off a $49 purchase, $20 off a $99 purchase, or $60 off a $199 purchase with the code “FEELINGFINE.” 

Express: Right now, you can get 50% off “summer essentials” both in stores and online for a limited time, which includes a ton of versatile tops, tees, and camis.

Gap: Right now, Gap is offering up to 50% off thousands of styles plus an extra 25% off your purchase with the code “AUTUMN.” 

J.Crew: You can get an extra 50% off sale styles with the code “WEARNOW.”

L.L.Bean: Right now, you can save on those coveted Bean Boots and more with up to 70% off with their clearance sale. This includes fall essentials like moccasins, pullovers, rain jackets, and more.

Lord and Taylor: Lord and Taylor is offering 20% off regular and sale items as well as 40% off fall must-haves now with the code “FALL.” ​​

Madewell: Right now through October 31, you can take 20% off Madewell denim with the code “WIREDDENIM,” as long as you’re signed into your Madewell Insider account. They’re also offering an extra 30% off final sale items with the code “SEEYA.”

Reformation: You can save up to 70% on a huge selection of sustainable items. They warn you to “shop responsibly” but I honestly don’t know if that’s possible.

Saks Fifth Avenue: Right now through August 29, Saks is offering big discounts on their final sale section. You can take 25% off when you purchase one eligible item, 30% off when you purchase two eligible items, and 40% off when you purchase three or more eligible items with the code “SALE.”

Topshop: Soon enough we’ll need to start bundling up for fall, and Topshop’s got us covered with up to 30% off jackets, knitwear, trousers, and shoes.

Urban Outfitters: You can get 30% off all BDG jeans for a limited time. 

Tech deals

Anker Soundcore Bluetooth Speaker: If you grab it now, you could have our favorite affordable Bluetooth speaker at your house in time for the long weekend for just $22.94 on Amazon.

Best Buy: Students save up to $300 on select computers from brands like HP, Dell, Lenovo, and more.

Dell: With the Labor Day Early Access Sale, you can get PC deals starting at $289.99 and up to 40% off select electronics.

Lenovo: Save up to 57% on doorbusters until August 27.

Lifestyle deals

AncestryDNA: Ancestry is holding an end-of-the-summer sale right now, so you can get their DNA kits for just $59, which is $10 more than what we typically see on Black Friday and for the holidays.

Bouqs: Until September 1, you get 20% off with orders with the code “LD20.” On September 2, you can save even more, and get 25% off with code “LD25.”

Dermstore: Dermstore is having a 20th Anniversary Event, where you can get up to 25% off on all your beauty favorites with the code “CELEBRATE.”
