Artem Koliubaiev, Sargis Sargsyan and Elvira Gavrilova collect 1.7 million UAH at the charity auction

On March 4, in Athens, the head of the “Union of Television and Film Industry Entrepreneurs” Artem Koliubaiev and volunteers Sargis Sargsyan and Elvira Gavrilova organized a charity evening under the patronage of the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece. The event was supported by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Serhiy Shutenko.

The evening was hosted by TV presenter Kateryna Osadcha and producer Yuryi Gorbunov. The event was attended by Ukrainian artists who lift the spirits of millions of Ukrainians with their work, Oleksandr Ponomariov and Dzidzio, as well as Greek singers Eirini Papadopoulou and Christos Menidiatis. It is worth emphasizing that Oleksandr Ponomariov and Dzidzio presented their new composition “Hey, Falcons!”.

At the charity event, organized by Artem Koliubaiev, Sargis Sargsyan and Elvira Gavrilova, it was possible to collect a considerable amount for the purchase of an ambulance.

Artem Koliubaiev noted: “This charity event has become incredibly important for our union. We coped with the two tasks we set ourselves: to bring Ukrainians and Greeks together, as well as to collect the necessary funds for the purchase of an ambulance.”

A charity auction was held as part of the evening. One of the lots was a flag of Ukraine signed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny, which went under the hammer for over half a million hryvnias. The blue and yellow flag was provided by Roman Bochkala, a Ukrainian military correspondent and public figure.

Also among the lots were gloves of the Klitschko brothers (which brought 500,000 UAH to the auction), gloves with Oleksandr Usyk’s autograph (which went under the hammer for 240,000 UAH), sweatshirts from the Ukrainian brand Kate Lab, art objects from the “International Parliament of Mothers”, a ball and a T-shirt from the National Football Team of Ukraine with the autographs of legendary Dynamo Kyiv players — Oleg Protasov, Oleksiy Mykhailichenko, Dmytro Demyanenko. The evening was also supported by HRH Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia. Funds, namely UAH 200,000, were also brought to the auction by a hat, which Oleksandr Ponomariov and Dzidzio gave to the hall after their performance.

Sargis Sargsyan and Elvira Gavrilova frankly told that organizing this charity event is not an easy task, many problems and difficulties arose on their way. But they were able to overcome them all, of course, not without the help of people who care about Ukraine. Sargis and Elvira say: “‎We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined our evening. Your support means a lot to Ukraine and the entire Ukrainian people. We would like to express our gratitude to the public organization “Ukrainians in Greece”, the representative of the “Battalion Volunteer ” foundation Oleksandr Prykhodchenko, the dentist Khrystyna Medynska, the director of the company “VASH CENTER” Anatoly Kuchirko, the girls from Candy Cat, the deputy head of the United Ukrainian diaspora in Greece Oksana Koziy.

The event was attended by more than a thousand guests, and the embassies of various European countries to the Hellenic Republic could not remain aloof and honored the evening with their presence.

It should not be forgotten that the organizers took care to introduce all those willing to the exquisite Ukrainian cuisine, because it was Ukrainian traditional dishes that were served in the evening. It is impossible to miss the amazing decoration of the hall – on the tables were chernozem and sunflowers, which, as everyone knows, are considered the kings of Ukrainian fields.
