Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s government has introduced last-minute changes to the proposed media law that is in parliament and is expected to be voted into law soon. Under the amendments, the government will give digital platforms and news publishers two months to mediate and broker commercial deals before subjecting them to mandatory arbitration under the proposed media law.
