US trade deficit narrowed in November 2022

The US trade deficit in November 2022 decreased to its lowest level since December 2020 and amounted to $83.3 billion, according to published data from the US Department of Commerce. In October, the value of the indicator was 98.8 billion dollars. The decrease in the trade deficit amounted to 15.6% in monthly terms.

The volume of imports in November decreased by 7.6% compared to October 2022 to $252.2 billion. At the same time, imports of consumer goods decreased significantly. Its decline was 13% on a monthly basis to $59.6 billion.

Export transactions decreased by 3.1% by October 2022 to $168.8 billion.
